Course development
Responsible recruitment is defined as looking for, selecting, and hiring suitable candidates for a job in ways that respect fundamental human and labor rights; comply with national labor laws; comply with international conventions/standards; and uphold fairness, transparency, and accountability among all stakeholders.
This training course, and the accompanying course manual, will support recruiters and employers as they embed responsible recruitment practices in their businesses. This course is a summarized version of the full Pilot Model of Responsible Recruitment Manual developed by Plan International’s FAIR Fish Project and Solutions People Co., Ltd. (The Food School Program). The model helps seafood processing SMEs and recruiters combat forced labor and human trafficking in their supply chains.
The model has been piloted by two seafood processing SMEs in Rayong province and four recruitment agencies in the Bangkok metropolitan area since 2019.
